Brockville Psychology Prices, Wait Times and Frequently Asked
  • If you’re looking for a list of services offered by Brockville Psychology and Counselling, click here.

  • Wait times will vary depending on type of service you are seeking, time of year, and volume of other requests. Sometimes we are contacted for support we do not offer.  If we are unable to offer the service you need, or our wait times are too long, we will provide you with a list of other practitioners and resources

  • Typical costs range from $950-$3000 for psychological and psychoeducational assessments. However, this may vary. Counselling is billed at $200 per hour (ages 14+) and $170 (ages 14 and under). For more information on psychological services, please visit the services page.

  • Your relationships, and/or your ability to be productive at school or work, are suffering; you are avoiding certain situations or activities; and/or you are feeling very upset (sad, anxious, angry); and these have been a problem for a period of time.

  • Sessions are available in 30 and 60 minute formats. Goals can be established in the first one or two sessions. Assistance to meet most goals can often be accomplished in 6 to 12 weekly sessions, but goals and number of sessions are always determined collaboratively with the client.

  • We are located in Brockville, Ontario. Patients often choose to come from surrounding municipalities within Leeds & Grenville and beyond. Visit our Google listing for a better idea of our location and office space. You can get acquainted with the space by looking at the map and photos.

  • Psychological services are not covered by OHIP. Extended or private health benefits may cover some or all of the cost of services. If you wish to talk about pricing, please contact our office. Accommodations can sometimes be made.

  • Best practice suggests yes! Parents are often crucial partners in helping their child reach their goals. However, it is also important that the child (12 years and over) direct what is shared, how, and with whom. Information sharing and privacy are discussed with parents and children at intake.

  • Best practices, and whether or not those can be offered here or elsewhere, can be discussed in an initial free phone consultation (and into an initial session). Referrals for the most appropriate support will be offered, if necessary, either from the point of initial consultation or at any point deemed necessary during ongoing work with the client.

  • Consultations with school staff and other school professional services are available to help coordinate support.
